Their guidance on structuring my essays and tailoring my applications to each school was invaluable. They didn’t just edit my work—they helped me understand what admissions committees were looking for and how to communicate my goals and passions effectively.

I wanted to give a big, big thank you to you and David for all your help over these past couple months. Your team really streamlined this process and made things a lot easier on my end. I tend to panic under situations of stress/pressure and I know things would’ve been a lot more difficult without your help. Another big thanks for looking over the 6th application for me.
"I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for David Liang's guidance throughout my law school admissions journey. As a first-generation Canadian immigrant, navigating life in a new country was challenging enough, let alone tackling the daunting task of applying to law schools. I felt completely lost and overwhelmed.
I scoured the internet for help, but it seemed like Canadian law school admissions consulting was a niche market with limited options. Thankfully, I stumbled upon "Canadian Law School Admissions Counseling," which seemed like the real deal. Unfortunately, they had stopped offering their services to focus on their legal practice.Determined not to settle for subpar assistance, I explored other consulting options, attending webinars and hoping to find the support I needed. Let me tell you, it was a disappointment. None of these organizations seemed to have a clue about what they were doing.
But then, I remembered the screenshot I had taken earlier of the Canadian Law School Admissions Counseling team's profile when their website was still active. So, I took a chance and reached out to them directly via LinkedIn. I know it sounds desperate, but it turned out to be the best decision I made during the entire admissions process.
To my surprise, David offered his services at an extremely reasonable rate, providing a detailed breakdown of the time spent and the scope of services. I even felt compelled to pay him more voluntarily for his invaluable assistance. We quickly scheduled a video call where David did much more than I could expect, analyzing my chances at each target law school, assessing the strengths and weaknesses of each institution, and even discussing employment prospects. With his background as a JD graduate from Queen's University Faculty of Law and experience working on an admissions committee, David possessed an intricate understanding of every aspect of the admissions process and had connections in most Ontario law schools.
Throughout the application process, David's support always went above and beyond what I expected. He provided LSAT preparation strategies, mentored me on maintaining a positive mindset, guided me in selecting recommenders, and helped me craft tailored personal statements and diversity statements for each law school. Thanks to his strategic guidance, I received persuasive letters of recommendation. And during the agonizing wait for decisions, David never left my side. He would always respond to my messages promptly and provided the support I needed even with the time difference, when I visited my family in home country.
Thanks to David's generous assistance, I received offers of admission from the JD programs at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law, and the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. Additionally, I was invited to an interview with the Chair of the Admissions Committee at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, although by July 1st, I was still awaiting the final decision when my provisional acceptance to Western Law’s offer became a firm acceptance.
Beyond his professional expertise, David is a genuinely caring and warm-hearted person. He believes in making a difference in people's lives, and he certainly made a difference in mine. I consider him not only an advisor but also a brother I can count on. I'm excited to finally meet him in person when I move to Ontario to attend law school this fall.
If you're a prospective law student struggling with the admissions process, I wholeheartedly recommend David Liang. He is the real deal, and without him, I wouldn't have come this far. Trust me, you won't find a more dedicated and knowledgeable admissions counselor out there."
